Georgia Election 2010 Results: Republicans Johhny Isakson and Nathan Deal to win as Senator and Governor

Republican candidates seem to continue to win over the Democratic bets as Georgia Election 2010 results show that Nathan Deal and Johhny Isakson are likely to win as governor and senator, respectively.

According to its SOS official website, as of November 4, 3am, Johhny Isakson has 1,487,011 votes against 992,347 votes for Democratic Michael Thurmond, who is the state’s labor commissioner.

If Senator Johhny Isakson shall win, this will be his second term as senator of Georgia.

Meanwhile, Nathan Deal so far has 1,363,284 votes while Democratic Roy Barnes has 1,102,630 votes.

It was also reported on Wednesday that Governor-elect Nathan Deal has named a transition team and an inaugural committee to help him.

Mr. Deal was also said announced that his long-time aide Chris Riley will still be his Chief of Staff, while two websites will be launched so the public may be aware on the development of the transition and inauguration.
