George W. Bush‘s truck was sold at a charity auction for $300,000 on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

According to several news reports, Bush‘s 2009 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4×4 Supercrew was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona for $300,000. MSN reported that the proceeds of the auction will go to Fisher House Foundation, a charity that helps U.S. military families.

The right airbag panel of the truck was autographed by Bush. A video of Bush signing the panel and driving the truck around his ranch was also included as an added bonus to the buyer.

“I haven’t driven on a street in many, many years, but I have been able to drive this truck on my ranch,” Bush reportedly said in a statement.

“All proceeds from the sale will go to Fisher House Foundation, which provides no-charge temporary housing for the families of military members being treated for injuries. Fisher House also has scholarship programs available to children and spouses of fallen or disabled veterans,” the Fisher House Foundation said on its official website.
