Matt Kenseth wins pole for Geico 400, NASCAR, Chicago, international sports news reported, September 17, 2011.

Kenseth reportedly toured the track at 183.243 mph to beat Paul Menard who came in 2nd, with his 183.125 mph.

Kurt Busch came in 3rd, with 183.032 mph. Ryan Newman is 4th, with 183.007 mph, and Carl Edwards is 5th with182.914 mph.

Matt Kenseth also won the Fedex 400 on May 15, 2011, at the Dover International Speedway and the Texas Motor Speedway on April 9, 2011.

Kenseth wins the top starting spot for the Geico 400 which opens Sunday, September 18, 2011.

This is the opening race in the Chase. Kenseth, 39, is from Cambridge, Wisconsin.
