Geese Tsunami Video Goes Viral

A viral video of “geese tsunami” has been uploaded in Youtube and is now making the rounds on social media sites.

Uploader Maikel Parets described the video as “geese tsunami” as hundreds of geese fill the sky after a short break from migration.

In the video as shown below, hundreds of snow geese suddenly took off from a field, creating the “geese tsunami.”

The video was captured in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. According to Varri Raffan from the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta as quoted by GlobalNews.ca, the birds are Lesser Snow Geese that have migrated from Russia.

Raffan also said that it is not surprising to see this many geese together as they really stick together during migration and feeding.
