Gary Oldman wins Best Actor at the Empire Film Awards for “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”. The fans voted for him and “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” as the Best Thriller and Best British film. This was reported by entertainment news, March 25, 2012.

Oldman, who earlier was reported to have “lost” the Batman film script, starred as George Smiley in the movie adaptation of John Le Carre‘s novel, “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”.

Film fans also voted for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – Part 2, as Best Film. Olivia Colman was voted Best Actress for her role in Paddy Considine’s Tyrannosaur.

Meantime, in another report, Gary Oldman talks about the tight security used in protecting the Batman film script, saying that when scripts are handed out, “…it does not have the ending.”

He later found the “lost” script in his room between his mattress and bed.
