French Spiderman Alain Robert climbed Burj Khalifa in Dubai on Monday, March 28, 2011, which is considered the world’s tallest building, standing 2,717 feet tall (828 meters), as shown in the photos below.

According to international news sites, Alain Robert or known as the French Superman climbed Burj Khalifa on Monday, as part of the opening ceremony of the 10th annual ‘Education Without Borders’ (EWB).

“I’m doing this to show the students there is no edge or borders and to inspire people to break the mold and not limit themselves,” Alain Robert was quoted as saying, as inspiring the students who attended the 3-day event.

“Part of my message is not only to follow your heart but try to innovate in all things you do.” Robert added, in the said event being hosted by the Higher Colleges of Technology.

Robert’s long list of skyscraper climbing achievements include the Petronas Twin Towers, Eiffel Tower, and the Lumiere building in Australia last August 2010 where he was arrested after reaching the top.

But unlike his previous acts where he only used his feet and bare hands, Alain Robert was required this time by the organizers to use a rope and harness before he was allowed to climb the world’s tallest building. Ambulances were also stationed below in case anything goes wrong.

As noted by Emaar Properties, owner of Burj Khalifa, the tower has 160 stories and an observation deck is on the 124th floor.
