France launches air strikes in Libya as Gaddafi refuses to implement a cease-fire and continued attacking rebels in Benghazi. This is reported by International news sites March 19, 2011.

In spite of Gaddafi’s warning to the UN members in his statement:

“You will regret if you dare to intervene in our country.”

France started a series of measured responses to Gaddafi’s obstinacy to remain in power.

Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary General and the rest of the UN member countries announced that

“The time of action has come…”

Thousands of people fled the city of Benghazi as majority of businesses closed their doors. The France air strike will hopefully allow the anti-government forces to organize their ranks and help them win their cause against Libya‘s strongman.
