Fox Blackout Will Not Affect The 3 Million Dish Network Customers

According to several news websites, an agreement between Dish Network and Fox Network have been reached that puts the Fox Sports station back on the air. A carriage deal that not only avoids a Fox blackout to 3 million Dish customers, but restores more than 20 cable channels that have been dark on the Dish Network for nearly one month has been reached.

“After prolonged negotiations to reach a fair deal, we’re pleased to enter into a long term agreement with Fox and to assure our customers that they can continue to enjoy these channels,” Dave Shull, Senior Vice President of Programming for DISH Network said in a statement

“I want to thank our partners at DISH Network who worked tirelessly to help us reach a successful conclusion,” Mike Hopkins, President, Fox Networks Affiliate Sales and Marketing said in a statement.

It was reported earlier on several sites that Dish Network customers may have their own Fox blackout next week because of this disputes over programming fees. Now, Dish customers can sit back, relax and watch the World Series in the comfort of their homes.
