Aelita Andre, a 4-year-old artist from Australia opened her first solo art exhibition in New York City on June 4, 2011 selling nine of her paintings with pieces priced up to $9,900 (£6,000) each, several news reported.

The 4-year-old young artist is the daughter of Nikka Kalashnikova and Michael Andre that were said to be both artists.

According to reports, Aelita was said to have started playing paints when she was just 11-months-old and had sold her first painting when she was two.

“She chooses the colours herself. She’s so determined, and forceful, and decisive, and she’ll actually get angry if you attempt to suggest a colour,” says proud dad Michael Andre as quoted from Herald Sun.

Aelita‘s first solo art exhibit is being held at the Agora Gallery in New York where her backers hope she can match the Russian Mir space station that set her record price of $24,000 in Hong Kong.

The art exhibit started on June 4, 2011 and will end on June 25, 2011.
