As noted at local news sites on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, Chris Lao is among the 1,913 law graduates out of 5,990 examinees who passed the 2011 Bar exams which was held last November.

Lao, a graduate of University of the Philippines who rose to instant fame in 2011, used his Twitter account to express his gratitude for passing the Bar exams.

“Thank you all for the prayers and faith in me. Most of all, thank you my Lord Jesus Christ. your love is on display in my life right now” Chris Lao (@iamchrislao) tweeted around 5 hours ago.

Back in August 2011, Mr. Lao was in the news and received a lot of online mockery after he drove his car in a flooded street in Metro Manila at the height of typhoon Kabayan, and his car floated in the deep flood.

Later, people helped him by pushing his car until it reached the dry portion of the street and was interviewed by GMA 7 news reporter Jun Veneracion, where he put the blame on others for not informing him about the flood.

Apparently, Lao‘s expression “I should have been informed” in the video interview went viral in social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter that time, where his name became a trending topic for several days but received a lot of negative comments.

In October, Christopher Lao was featured in a BPI auto insurance commercial where he spoofed himself and his “floating car” incident and reenacted the scene with a man copying the GMA 7 reporter.
