As noted by Boeing on its official website on Sunday, September 25, 2011, Boeing and ANA have already signed the formal documents completing the contractual delivery of the first 787 Dreamliner.

“Now that the airplane is ready to deliver, the entire team is ready to celebrate,” Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 program, was quoted on the report.

“We look forward to honoring our launch customer ANA before they fly their first Dreamliner home to Japan.” Fancher added, noting that ANA has been a tremendous partner since day one.

The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner delivery is being expected to arrive at Haneda Airport in Tokyo this coming Tuesday, September 27, at around 9 am (local time); from Paine Field in Everett, Washington.

Apparently, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner completion was scheduled in 2008 but Boeing encountered a lot of of setbacks and technical mishaps which delayed the project.

Nevertheless, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was noted to have interesting key features including larger windows which will permit more natural light, electric sunshades and bidets in the lavatories.

In addition, 787 Dreamliner passengers are also being expected to feel more comfortable due to larger luggage bins, electronic dimming, with the air pressure and humidity levels to be almost the same with the one on the ground.

The new 787 Dreamliner is made out of lighter materials which will significantly help increase its fuel efficiency and notably can accommodate around 330 passengers.
