Final Election Polls: Final Gallup Survey Puts Obama and Romney Within One Percentage Point Of Each Other

Gallup‘s final election survey shows Republican challenger Mitt Romney and U.S. President Barack Obama are within one percentage point of each other, Gallup reported on its official website, November 5, 2012.

According to the report, Romney holds 49% of the vote and Obama at 48%. After removing the 3% undecided voters from the results and allocating them proportionally to the two candidates, Gallup‘s final estimate gives Romney 50% and Obama 49%.

According to the report, the survey shows a statistical tie among likely voters, which suggests a very close battle in the national popular vote. The final survey was conducted from November 1 to 4, 2012.
