Field of Dreams Sold: Movie Site Sale Finally CompletedBy Marhgil Macuha on Jan 3, 2013 in Entertainment, Movies, United States •
The sale of the site in which the movie Field of Dreams was filmed has been completed, several sports news sites reported on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
According to NBC Sports’ Off the Bench, the site in Dyersville, Iowa was sold in 2011 by its original owners, Don and Becky Lansing to the investors group Go The Distance Baseball LLC. However, it took time before the sale was completed because of plenty of paperworks.
The Field Of Dreams site costed $3.4 million plus interest. Reports said that it was listed for $5.4 million when it went on the market more than 2 years ago.
According to WhoTV, the site will be turned into a youth baseball and softball complex by the investors group, with first phase of construction to begin this spring.
Aren’t you glad that Field of Dreams movie site is finally turning into a real baseball and softball field?
