Ferrari Auction: 599XX Evoluzione To Be Auctioned To Help Earthquake Victims

Ferrari will be organizing a rare online auction next week to raise funds for the victims of earthquakes in Italy, Ferrari announced on its website on Thursday, May 31, 2012.

According to Ferrari.com, the auction will go live next week on www.ferraristore.com. A 599XX Evoluzione non-homologated race car worth 1.3 million euros, a V8 Formula One engine and race suits and helmets donated by F1 drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso are all included in the auction.

“Ferrari has decided to collect funds to help the families of victims of the quakes which hit the Emilia Romagna region with a big online auction open to bidders internationally,” Ferrari said in a statement.

A selection of goods from the online Ferrari store including Prancing Horse watches will also be up for sale during the auction, Ferrari said.
