FedEx employee throws packages inside truck caught on camera, fired from job (Video)

A FedEx employee in Manhattan, New York was spotted throwing packages inside the company truck and was caught on camera, as shown in the video below. The YouTube video immediately went viral and reached the knowledge of the giant shipping company. Within two days, FedEx apologized publicly and said that the employee has been fired.

FedEx employee loading her truck with items that are to be delivered. The truck’s number is 203-997-JRB. Video was taken on E. 44th St. on Wednesday July 24th 2013 at 18:15.” A statement reads on the YouTube description, showing a female FedEx employee throwing dozens of packages into the delivery truck that day.A man, who is not wearing a FedEx uniform, can be seen talking to the woman and also threw some packages.

Judging from the video, it appears that the employee is not really concern whether the item inside the package might be damaged. She can be seen throwing the packages with all her might. This Friday, July 26, FedEx SVP of Human Resources Shannon A. Brown issued a public apology via a YouTube video and noted that the said employee is”no longer working for the company.”

“On behalf of all FedEx team members worldwide, I want to tell you that we were very disappointed to see the recent online video. FedEx sets high performance standards for our team members, which is why our customers trust us to pick up and deliver almost 10 million packages a day around the globe.” Shannon A. Brown said.

“I want you to know that this situation is completely unacceptable to us and this driver is no longer working for FedEx. I want to apologize to all of our customers for the actions of this individual.” Mr. Brown added, without mentioning the name of the employee.
