According to the update by Facebook on its official blog on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, Facebook Timeline, which was made available worldwide last December, will be permanent to all users.

Apparently, this update from Facebook comes in less than a week after 60 new Facebook Timeline apps were introduced, dedicated to users with interest in cooking, eating, traveling, and many more.

Facebook noted that after the user upgrades to Facebook Timeline, the user will be given a 7-day grace period (starting Tuesday, January 24) to review everything that appears on their timeline before anyone else can see it.

“Over the next few weeks, everyone will get timeline. When you get timeline, you’ll have 7 days to preview what’s there now. This gives you a chance to add or hide whatever you want before anyone else sees it.” A statement reads on the updated post last December, when Facebook announced that Timeline is already available worldwide.

“You can also choose to publish your timeline at any time during the review period. If you decide to wait, your timeline will go live automatically after seven days.” Paul McDonald, Facebook Timeline team engineering manager wrote.

“Your new timeline will replace your profile, but all your stories and photos will still be there.” McDonald added, with users can be able to preview their Timeline as “View As” so they can choose how they want their friends see it.

As described by Facebook, Timeline gives users an easy way to rediscover the things they shared, and collect their most important moments, and also allows them to share new experiences to their friends.
