F1 German Grand Prix Results 2012: Alonso Wins Race Day at Hockenheim

Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso won the 2012 F1 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, Germany on Sunday, July 22, 2012. The F1 German Grand Prix win by Alonso was his 30th career victory.

Alonso captured the 67-lap race day in Germany on a two-pit stop strategy. He started the race at pole position and ends the race almost four seconds ahead of second place winner Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing Renault.

Meanwhile, defending F1 driver’s champion Vettel maybe penalized for his late overtaking maneuver against MacLaren‘s Jenson Button. Vettel overtakes Button while running outside the track.

F1 stewards reportedly announced that Vettel‘s late move against Button is under investigation.
