F1 2012 German Grand Prix Top Qualifiers

Ferrari driver, Fernando Alonso topped the qualifying round of the 2012 F1 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim on Saturday, July 21, 2012, according to Formula 1 website.
Alonso took pole position when he lapped his Ferrari car in 1m 40.904s and 1m 40.621s in the third qualifying round. Pirelli’s extreme wet tyres reportedly helped the Ferrari driver during the wet conditions at the track.
Defending F1 driver’s champion Sebastian Vettel and teammate Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing Renault who clocked-in with 1m 41.026s and 1m 41.496s settled for second and third place heading into Sunday’s Race Day.
Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher came in at fourth place with a qualifying time of 1m 42.459s.
Alonso leads the F1 driver standings with 129 points. Behind him are Red Bull‘s Webber and Vettel, who has 116 and 100 points respectively.
Meanwhile, Red Bull is the current leader in the constructor’s standings with 216 points. Ferrari is in second place with 152 points.
Race day for the 2012 F1 German Grand Prix will be on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Santander circuit.
