F1 2011 British Grand Prix Results At Silverstone Qualifying Round

Mark Webber of Red Bull took the pole position for the F1 2011 Santander British Grand Prix at Silverstone circuit after the qualifying round on Saturday, July 9 2011, according to a report at F1.com.

This will be the second year that Webber will be leading the F1 British Grand Prix. Webber went on to win the 2010 Grand Prix at Silverstone.

It will be one-two for Red Bull on Sunday’s Race day at Silverstone as Sebastian Vettel, current Driver’s championship leader, secured second place after qualifying.

Webber clocked in at 1m 30.399s to snatch the pole from Vettel who checked in at 1m 30.431s. Fernando Alonso of Ferrari came in at third place with 1m 30.516s. Another Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, is in fourth with 1m 31.124s.

Rains during the latter part of qualifying dashed all hopes by the other drivers to close in on the leaders.
