The Eurovision Song Contest 2011 winner is Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal, known as Ell-Nikki, from Azerbaijan, according to reports by several international news sites.

The winning piece of Ell-Nikki during the finals of the 56th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, hosted by Germany, is the love song “Running Scared.”

Reports say that over 100 million people watched the finale of the annual Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, May 14, 2011 held in Duesseldorf, Germany.

Second place was taken by Italy and third place goes to Sweden.

Eurovision Song Contest is reportedly the world’s biggest music competition shown live via satellite to countries from the Atlantic Ocean to the Caspian Sea and other nations around the world.

Azerbaijan will be the host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
