Eugene Domingo Wins Best Actress from the 7th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival

Eugene Domingo won the Best Actress award from the 7th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, which was held at the Cultural Center, July 24, 2011, as reported by various Philippine news sites.

Domingo’s “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” (The Woman in the Septic Tank) won for her Best Actress for the full length, New Breed of Directors Category.

For the Director’s Showcase Category, Bembol Roco won Best Actor for “Isda” (Fable of the Fish) and Raquel Villavicencio for “Bisperas” (Eve).

The Best Films are: for the full length category “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” (The Woman in the Septic Tank), Marlon Rivera;  for the Director’s Showcase Category, “Bisperas” (Eve), Jeff Jeturian, and for the Short Films Category was “Walang Katapusang Kwarto (An Endless Room), Emerson Reyes.
