Electronic Arts (EA) launches free Pogo Games for iPhone and iPod Touch and is now available at iTunes, according to a press release issued on Thursday. A sample of the Pogo app screen shot at iPhone can be seen below.

The Pogo Games, as mentioned by EA, offers a seamless experience for their customers who are playing Pogo online, as they offer five games in one free app, which is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad; and requires iOS 3.0 or later.

“We’ve been entertaining audiences for more than 10 years, and that experience has given us a deep understanding of the types of games that engage people and keep them coming back for more.” EA Senior vice-president and general manager for Pogo Michael Marchetti said.

“With the move to iPhone and iPod Touch, we’re giving people new ways to play, share and compete—now any moment can turn into a fun moment.” Marchetti added.

The five games in the free Pogo app includes Poppit!, Word Whomp, Turbo 21, Mahjong Safari, and Sweet Tooth 2, according to EA.

EA calls the app a ‘freemium offerings’, which was made available at the Apple App Store through a advertising-supported business model.

Nevertheless, EA also mentioned that an ad-free game experience can be enjoyed by purchasing the Pogo app that costs $2.99, and Club Pogo members only need to log-in through the app.
