Eat Bulaga Indonesia airs 1st franchise episode (Video)

Manila, PhilippinesEat Bulaga Indonesia, the first and only international version of the 33-year old local noontime TV show Eat Bulaga, aired its first franchise episode on Monday, July 16, 2012, via Indonesia‘s Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), as shown in the video below.

As announced by Eat Bulaga (EB) during its live show at GMA 7 on Monday, Eat Bulaga Indonesia will feature most of the games and entertainment portions inspired by the original show, including ‘Pinoy Henyo‘ (Indonesia Pintar), ‘Juan For All, All For One‘, ‘Bulagaan‘, and ‘Pambato ng Videoke‘.

As reported at SCTV.co.id, Eat Bulaga Indonesia was launched at 4 p.m. (local time) last Monday, and was hosted by the original show’s counterpart hosts, led by Uya Kuya, who is also known as “Boss Uya”, and posed as the Indonesian version of “Bossing” Vic Sotto.

Interestingly, the term ‘dabarkads’, a famous term of for the EB hosts and fans, has also an equivalent term in the Indonesian version show, ‘bulagang’; while the official theme song of the show was translated to Indonesian language and used the same tune.

According to SCTV, among the other Indonesian stars included as Eat Bulaga Indonesia hosts are Aja Farid, Reza No, Ramzi, Narji, Ciripa, Rian Ibram, Rio Indrawan, Steven, Leo Consul, Selena Alexandria, Jenny Tan, Bianca Lizza, and Julie Christie; in which some clips will be shown on Saturday, July 21 on the original show.

For Eat Bulaga Philippines, Tito, Vic and Joey, are being currently joined by Jimmy Santos, Ruby Rodriguez, Julia Clarete, Pia Guanio, Michael V, Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Keempee De Leon, Allan K, Toni Rose Gayda, Anjo Yllana, Pauleen Luna, Ryan Agoncillo, Sam Y. G., and Solenn Heussaff, who joined the show this year.

Eat Bulaga, which aired its pilot episode on July 30, 1979 via then RPN-9, is being produced by Television And Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE), and holds the record of being the longest-running noontime variety program in local TV history; with Senator Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon as the remaining original hosts.
