Dr. Phil interviews Golden Voice Man Ted Williams, agrees to enter a rehab

Dr. Phil was reported to have interviewed ‘golden voice man’ Ted Williams on his TV show, who agreed to enter a rehab for him to be fully treated.

According to US news sites on Thursday, Phillip Calvin McGraw, also known as Dr. Phil McGraw, a noted American psychologist and TV personality, interviewed former homeless man Ted Williams who went to instant fame through his golden voice.

Dr. Phil McGraw made a ‘lengthy one-on-one conversation with Ted Williams on his TV show, in which the latter was said to have admitted that he could not resist to drink even after he earned his fame.

Later, the 53-year old YouTube sensation via Columbus Dispatch was said to have agreed to go to a rehab to have a treatment particularly for his drug and alcohol habit.

“If Ted is ever going to get better, he’s got to be honest with himself and admit he’s addicted to drugs and alcohol,” Dr. Phil said in a statement.

“I’ve told him it’s not going to be easy and it’s going to take a lot of hard work. It might be a long journey for him, but this is a big step in the right direction.” He added.

Earlier reports revealed that Ted Williams had a heated argument with his daughter on Monday and was temporarily detained due to alleged disturbance.

Meanwhile, Ted Williams’ appearance in Dr Phil TV show was reported to be a two-part series, entitled “Homeless to Hollywood” and “Ted’s Family Intervention.”

As mentioned in DrPhil.com, one of the highlights of the episodes is the reunion of Ted Williams with some of his children, whom he admitted he left to his ex-wife Patti, more than 20 years ago.
