One can now download Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta version for Android phones and Nokia’s Maemo, according to Mozilla website.

As Mozilla announced, this Beta version of Firefox 4 comes complete with familiar features like Firefox Sync, which synchronizes history, tabs, bookmarks, and passwords between the desktop and mobile phone.

And just like in Firefox’s desktop version, it also has the Awesome Screen, which helps users to access history, bookmarks and tabs through the Awesome Bar.

According to their FAQ page, Firefox 4 is available for Android phones (2.0 and above) and the Nokia N900.

The installation for Android phones however, requires around 32MB internal storage, plus 12MB SD storage.
Among the supported devices they have tested are HTC Desire, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Google Nexus One, and Motorola Droid 2.

Meanwhile, Mozilla said that there are other supported devices but they have not yet tested.

This includes HTC Desire Z (T-Mobile G2), HTC Droid Incredible, Motorola Droid X, Motorola Milestone (Verizon Droid), and Samsung I9000 Galaxy S (AT&T Captivate, Verizon Fascinate, T-Mobile Vibrant, Sprint Epic 4G).

Firefox 4, however, is not compatible on the Blackberry OS due to its Java-based operating system.

Since the Firefox 4 is still in the Beta version, it has not been fully tested, and users may encounter some crash problems.

No announcement was made as to when the final version of Firefox 4 will be released, but Mozilla promised to update it regularly as improvement will go along.

Mozilla also said they will be waiting for feedback from customers, and they are open to friendly criticisms and suggestions.
