According to numerous news sites, real estate tycoon and “The Apprentice” star Donald Trump, who created a lot of media attention by flirting with the possibility of him running for president, announced Monday that he will continue to be a businessman and remain in the private sector.

In the previous months before his announcement, it was reported that Trump was so vocal about the issue of whether President Barack Obama was born in the US.

Allegedly this created a lot of media attention and because of him being already so popular catapulted Trump to the top of the list of possible candidates for 2012.

Reports reaching CNN released a statement of Trump, “After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the presidency,”

As noted at the report, Trump boastfully announced that he would have won the Republican nomination and the US election, except he acknowledged that “running for public office cannot be done half-heartedly.”

“Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector,” Trump added.
