Dolores Hope, widow of Bob Hope, dies at 102 in Los Angeles

Dolores Hope, the widow of the legendary Bob Hope, died Monday morning of natural causes at the age of 102 in Los Angeles, as announced by several entertainment news sites, September 19, 2011.

According to reports, Dolores Hope, championing numerous charitable causes, received numerous honors during her lifetime.

“Both the entertainment world and the church have lost a woman of profound faith, gifted musical talent and dedication,” said Los Angeles Archbishop Jose H. Gomez.

Dolores Hope, apparently known as a dedicated wife and mother, spent many years of her life serving her husband as well as her children: Eleonora, Linda, Kelly and Anthony.

As related reports further reveal, she helped Bob Hope celebrate his 100th birthday on May 29, 2003, just two months before his death.
