Derrick Rose: NBA 2011 MVP Leading Candidate Suffers Ankle Injury In NBA Playoffs, Gets MRI

Chicago Bulls superstar and NBA 2011 MVP candidate, Derrick Rose, suffered an ankle injury during Game 4 of their NBA Playoffs First Round series against the Indiana Pacers, according to a news report by NBA.com posted on Apr 24, 2011.

Reports say that Rose is using a walking boot on his left foot on Sunday. He was scheduled for an MRI on his sprained ankle.

Bulls‘ coach Tom Thibodeau reveals that there is swelling on Rose‘s ankle. The condition of Rose‘s ankle injury was relayed to him by trainer Fred Tedeschi.

Rose sprained his left ankle late during the first quarter of Game 4 between the Bulls and Pacers. Indiana won the game 89-84 to extend their series against Chicago. Rose still managed to finished the game with 15 points and 10 assists.

The Bulls will try to end the best-of-seven series in Tuesday’s Game 5 against the Pacers. Chicago leads the series against Indiana, 3-1.
