DepEd: No Classes tomorrow, October 26, 2010

The Department of Education (DepEd) has suspended classes in all public elementary and high schools nationwide tomorrow, October 26, 2010. The DepEd‘s declaration is aimed to give way for public school teachers to rest after serving as members of the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) in the 2010 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Classes will only be suspended on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 for those schools whose elections were postponed for Tuesday. Some schools were not able to hold elections today, October 25, 2010 because election paraphernalia were delivered late.

Suspension of classes in private schools, will be the discretion of the school officials. Some private schools were used as polling centers in the recently concluded  elections.
