Denver Nuggets Win Over LA Lakers 118-112, Gives Lakers 1st Loss

The Denver Nuggets gave the LA Lakers their first loss for the NBA 2010-11 Season. According to NBA.com the game was held in Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado ended with a score 118-112 in favor of the Nuggets. LA Lakers standing fell to 8 wins and 1 loss, while Denver Nuggets improved their standing to 5 wins and 4 losses. The Lakers was coming from their 8th straight win over the Timberwolves.

Mike Trudell wrote in the Lakers Blog that the game was still within Lakers reach with 1 minute remaining in the game, but Lakers star Kobe Bryant failed to hit his 3-pointer and Denver held on the ball for the 6-point victory.

The Nuggets poured in 33 points in the 4th quarter as compared to Lakers’ 19-point output in the same period.

Trudell also reported that Kobe Bryant scored his 26,000 career points in the third quarter of the game. This feat made Bryant the youngest player in NBA history to reach that achievement.
