According to New York Post on Friday, January 27, 2012, Denise Rich’s penthouse is a 12,000-square-foot duplex, right on the corner of East 60th Street, which was designed by Emery Roth.

“This apartment has been an incredible home,” Rich, 68, told the New York Post, who has three children with her ex-husband, presidential pardon recipient, financier Marc Rich.

They were married in 1966 and had three children but divorced in 1996, with Marc Rich receiving a presidential pardon from then US President Bill Clinton on January 20, 2001, his last day in office.

“I don’t have the need for this type of space. My greatest hope is that the next family loves and enjoys this home as much as we did.” The three-time Grammy Award nominated songwriter added.

Among the notable composition of Denise Rich includes Sister Sledge‘s “Frankie” in 1986, Aretha Franklin-Mary J. Blige duet “Don’t Waste Your Time” in 1999, and Mandy Moore‘s “Candy“, which she co-wrote.

As noted in the report, Denise Rich’s penthouse is very spacious that she once converted one of her three terraces into a professional-grade figure-skating rink for a blowout party; and one of them can fit 200 people.

Based on the listing of Corcoran Group brokers Bonnie Pfeifer Evans, Noble Black and Chazz Levi, the huge apartment has 7 bedrooms, 11 baths and three kitchens; and is overlooking the Central Park.

In addition, luxurious amenities includes a grand salon, a formal dining room with 22 seats, a 30-foot media room, a billiards room, a full gym and a library with a fireplace, with the apartment having a total of 19 rooms.

The penthouse, with its terrace located four floors from the top of the Park V building, also has a recording studio, where Celine Dion has sung; while Stevie Wonder once played the baby grand piano located in one of the living rooms.

Meanwhile, the master suite notably consumes the entire southwest end of the huge penthouse’s upper floor and includes a living room-sized sitting room, a wide bedroom with gas fireplace and a private terrace.

Apparently, Denise Rich’s gigantic apartment is more expensive than that at 740 Park Ave., in which the New York Post noted that two apartments could soon be combined and will be listed for $60 million.
