Based on the reports, Lee Bridges, a Montana resident, suspects that the bald eagle he saw over a tree near their house may have dropped the fawn over the power lines that caused the outage. The eagle may have failed to retrieve the deer away from the power line.

The incident reportedly happened around 9:00 a.m. (Montana time). The power company lineman used a pole to remove the small deer carcass on the power line.
