Debbi Morgan’s Secret is Out; She Has Lyme Disease

Debbi Morgan, known off screen as Deborah Morgan, has revealed what she has kept from the public for 15 years, she has Lyme disease.  She made the revelation in Tom Joyner Morning Show. This was also reported by Entertainment news sites, January 20, 2011.

The brave American actress played Dr. Angie Hubbard in the soap opera All My Children, and has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the Daytime Emmy Award in the 1990s. She also played The Seer in the popular TV series Charmed.

Debbi Morgan was optimistic about her condition though, saying, “It’s nothing fatal.”

Medical facts say that if left untreated it can have a serious effect on the Central Nervous System. Lyme disease is a condition caused by the genus Borrelia, which is transmitted by ticks. The early treatment of Debbi Morgan’s Lyme disease with antibiotics can lead to a good prognosis.
