David Letterman apologized to Justin Bieber after being “snappish” during his interview with Bieber on Thursday, celebrity news sites reported on Friday, June 22, 2012.
During the interview on the “Late Show with David Letterman” as shown in the video below, Bieber showed off his new tattoo on his left arm to Letterman. However, Letterman started mocking it, saying “How does that help how you look to have a tattoo?” He even attempted to rub it off physically.
Bieber was also mocked after he responded, “I’m not going for the 16th chapel” when Letterman told him that more and more people seemed to be getting “a mural… the Sistine Chapel” tattooed on themselves.
Though irritated, Bieber just silently gave him a fist pump curled over his mouth.
Later, reports said that Letterman approached Bieber before his performance of “Boyfriend,” and apologized.
“Are you all right? Is your tattoo OK? Everyone said, well it’s a brand-new tattoo and I hurt your tattoo,” Letterman reportedly told Bieber.
“Everything’s great. It’s all good. You’re fine. Don’t worry. You were not snappish. You were fine … I think I expect it,” Bieber reportedly said to Letterman.
