David and Victoria Beckham is preparing to leave Britain for good, and will make America as their permanent home.

The celebrity couple plans to make Los Angeles their nest as well as for the children.

With this, they will put a sale for their dream home, Beckingham Palace as well.

The Soccer superstar and the former Spice Girl member-turned-fashion designer are said to have been discussing selling the 1930s, Georgian-style mansion for six months.

Estate agents have been to view the mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Herts, which they bought for £2.5million in 1999; and now have been valued at up to £18million.

A source close to the Beckham family said: “Frankly they cannot see themselves ever returning to make London their full-time base.

“The children are settled, speak with American accents and David and Victoria are immersed in the laid back Los Angeles way of life.

“They love it there, they’re well liked, have plenty of friends and feel it’s their spiritual home.”

The source added: “Beckingham Palace takes a lot of looking after. They have a petting farm with miniature animals, swimming pools indoor and out and huge grounds.

Recently, accountants was hired to analyze their spending and, with other homes in LA, Dubai and France, as they decided they no longer wanted to pay the UK home’s running costs.

The Beckhams also plan to buy a townhouse in central London; either in Chelsea, Knightsbridge or Belgravia.

However, it will be a UK base for visits rather than a family home.

The couple, who spent most of the summer at their £2million chateau in Bargemon in the South of France, also plans to buy an apartment in New York, where Victoria’s fashion business is based.

Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham has become the latest celebrity entrant into the world of Twitter.

In her first tweet ever, the 36-year old former Spice Girl says she uses long walks through terminals at airports to have a fashion moment.

“Finally!! Leaving for UK on Monday “Airport is my runway!!!” Can’t wait for fashion week! In love and light x VB (sic)” Beckham wrote after joining Twitter.

Victoria‘s brand has been nominated for a British Fashion Council Award for Designer Brand of the Year.
