The latest Pulse Asia survey released today, April 26, 2016, shows Davao City Mayor Rudy Duterte leading the presidential race at 12 percentage points ahead of Senator Grace Poe.
Poe got 23 percent while Duterte got 35 percent. Former DILG secretary Mar Roxas and Vice President Jojo Binay got 17 percent and 16 percent, respectively, while Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago got 2 percent. Five percent of those surveyed are still undecided.

According to Pulse Asia, the survey was conducted using face-to-face interview with 1,800 registered voters from April 16 to 20. It was noted that the survey was conducted at the time when Duterte’s “rape joke” became viral on social media and hit both local and international news.
Mayor Duterte tops NCR at 40%, Visayas at 32% and Mindanao at 58%. Meanwhile, Poe tops Luzon with 28%, followed by Binay and Duterte at 23% and 22%, respectively.
Duterte leads in all socio-economic classes, 43% at class ABC, 32% at class D and 40% at class E.
According to Pulse Asia, the survey had a ± 2.3% error margin at the 95% confidence level.
