According to reports, the Dassault Rafale is designed and built by Dassault Aviation. It was said to be a French twin-engine delta-wing multi-role jet fighter aircraft being produced both for carrier-based operations with the French Navy and for land-based use with the French Air Force.

Reports said that it is being marketed for export to several countries. The Dassault Aviation was said to be “cautiously optimistic” of finally completing an export win with the possible sale of the Rafale to India and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Reports indicate that the Dassault Aviation might close an agreement for 126 aircraft with New Delhi which could potentially worth $10 billion to $12 billion. However, they are still waiting for the decision as Rafale is being considered against the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Furthermore, Dassault Aviation has a proposal of selling about 60 Rafale jets to UAE, reports said, which was said to cost more than $8 billion. Reports also said that Dassault is hoping to close the deal in UAE at the Dubai Air Show.
