Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA title with a victory over the Miami Heat, 105-95, in Game 6 of the 2011 NBA Finals on Sunday night, June 12, 2011 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, according to a report at NBA.com.

Jason Terry led the Dallas with 27 points, while Dirk Nowitzki added 21 points.

LeBron James scored 21 points for Miami, who failed to win his first NBA title in his eight season. Chris Bosh added 19 points, Mario Chalmers 18 and Dwyane Wade had 17 for the Heat.

After the final buzzer, Dallas owner Mark Cuban ran onto the court to hug Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle.

The Dallas victory in Miami is a vindication of the 2006 NBA Finals where the Heat won their first NBA title in the Mavericks homecourt.
