According to Tennessean.com on Sunday, Trace Adkins’ home in Millsford Court was caught by fire on Saturday at around 3:35 p.m. (local time) and the singer was out of town that time.

Apparently, Adkins’ wife, Rhonda was also not at home and arrived only about 10 minutes after the fire started, with their kids only accompanied by their babysitter.

“He’s gonna freak. He’s probably gonna think I’m dead.” Rhonda Adkins told the report, noting that she was already near their home and saw the smoke from outside.

“You can replace things, not people. I’m just glad that my children are safe.” Rhonda added, as two of their five children, ages 6 and 9, were inside their house when the fire broke out.

Their family dog was also saved by a neighbor, who was later brought to the hospital after he was beaten by the frightened dog and is now recovering.

Trace Adkins, 49, known for his song “After The Fire Is Gone”, was on a plane to Alaska that time and is yet to release his official statement on the incident.

Meanwhile, Brentwood Fire Chief Brian Goss told reports that the case is still under thorough investigation but believed the fire could have started in the garage.
