Congressman Manny Pacquiao Memorabilia auctioned to help Saranggani

World-class Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, now Congressman of Saranggani gives his heart to his constituents recently, as some of his memorabilia was auctioned to help his home province.

Congressman Pacquiao hosted the Development Partners’ Night at the New World Hotel in Makati City.

With the theme “Exploring Potentials and Creating Wealth in Saranagani“, Pacquiao’s aim is to launched his ambitious battle to fight environmental destruction and poverty in Saranggani.

The event was attended by more than 200 guests representing the corporate, business and academic sector including Development Academy of the Philippines president Antonio Kalaw Jr., DAP Chairman Carlyzar Divinagracia, and Sarangani Governor Migs Dominguez.

“When I became congressman, I had some pretty straight-forward ideas about development in Sarangani: build infrastructure, invite foreign investment, produce for the international market, and generate jobs,” said the only boxer in the world who won seven world titles in seven different weight classes.

Among the Manny Pacquiao memorabilia which were auctioned through secret bidding are his trunks, shorts, robes, and shoes he wore during his fights with Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Oscar dela Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao is continuously preparing for his fight with Antonio Margarito on November 13, and will take place at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.

Manny Pacquiao this time is aiming to bring home the vacant WBC junior middleweight title belt and to be the first and only boxer in the world to win eight different weight division boxing titles.
