According to Estes Park News on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, the black bear broke into the Park Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Estes Park, Colorado last week; and shopped for his favorite chocolates without breaking anything, as he did it with extra care.

As interviewed by the news, store owner Jo Adams said she came to work to her store one morning and noticed a cellophane wrapper and a candy can on the floor; and the top of her counter was dirty. She immediately called her son Eric to help her clean the mess.

At first, Ms. Adams said she thought that a ground squirrel could have gotten inside their store, but was shocked when they reviewed the CCTV camera and found that the culprit was a black bear, which can be seen coming in and out the chocolate shop several times.

Apparently, the lock on the front door was believed to be faulty that caused the black bear to enter the store easily, with the animal seen entering politely and appeared to be just like any ordinary gentle customer. Although he was seen stepping on top of some store shelves, nothing was left with any damage.

Ms. Adams noted that among the items that the black bear took include the chocolate covered Rice Krispie Treats, peanut butter cups and a store specialty called Balls of Joy, with the animal making seven in-and-out trips to the store that lasted for about 20 minutes.
