Coach Freddie Roach forgives as Antonio Margarito apologizes for Parkinson joke (Video)

Coach Freddie Roach forgives the camp of Antonio Margarito, as the Mexican boxer apologizes for the controversial Parkinson joke video, as published at ABS CBN on Friday.

The video, in which a copy is available below, was captured by Elie Seckbach of FanHouse, which was later uploaded at YouTube.

“I forgive them. We have a fight to do…this is not about me,” Coach Freddie Roach said.

“I want to focus on the fight.” Manny Pacquiao’s long time coach added.

Freddie Roach is referring to the upcoming Pacquiao-Margarito fight which will be on November 13, (November 14, Manila time) at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Earlier, Antonio Margarito and his camp say sorry during the press conference for undercard fights of the Pacquiao vs Margarito fight after receiving tons of negative comments from the public.

“To everyone with that disease … I want to tell you, never, ever in my life would I make fun of anyone like that. I just want to let you know that I’m not the kind of person who would do anything like that, and make fun of anyone,” as translated when Antonio Margarito said it in Spanish, while he says he is sorry.

The Mexican boxer added the he never intended to make fun of people afflicted with Parkinson’s disease.

On the controversial video, in Antonio Margarito and his trainer, Robert Garcia, and undercard boxer Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios were seen making jokes which seem to be about having a Parkinson’s disease.

In one scene, Garcia can be heard telling to Rios, “”Hey, there’s Freddie Roach.”

Rios then seem to be impersonating Freddie Roach, while shaking his head and calling the name of Manny Pacquiao.
