As announced during the 45th Country Music Association Awards (CMA Awards) night held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night, Taylor Swift won the Entertainer of the Year award.

“Thanks to all the fans who filled up the stadiums all over the world this year,” Swift was quoted on her acceptance speech, whose 2010 album ‘Speak Now‘ made her busy with a world tour.

“One of my favorite things this year is the camaraderie of these artists,” Swift added, apparently referring to fellow singers Ronnie Dunn, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw. She beat four male singers in that category including Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Keith Urban.

Swift, who turns 21 this coming December 13 and also won the Entertainer of the Year award in 2009, also told reporters that she is still busy writing for her next album, and seeking ideas for her new songs.

Meanwhile, other non first-timer CMA winners include duo-band Sugarland, which won their fifth straight Vocal Duo of the Year award. Lady Antebellum won the Vocal Group of the Year for the third straight year.

In addition, husband and wife Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert grabbed the Male Vocalist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year awards, respectively. They won the same awards last year.

On the other hand, Kimberly Perry of the Band Perry won three awards including New Artist and Single of the Year awards, which she shared with her siblings Reid and Neil Perry. Their song “If I Die Young“, which she wrote, won the Song of the Year award.

The CMA Awards 2011 awards night was aired on the ABC Network at 8 p.m. ET and was hosted for the fourth time by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, who won the Entertainer of the Year award last year.
