Clive Davis, the American five-time Grammy winner record producer who gave a big break to Whitney Houston, announced the release date of the new album of the late iconic singer.

Titled, “Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances,” this is the Houston’s first ever live album. Davis made the announcement this Tuesday, September 16, when he was the special guest of NBC’s Today show. The announcement was also posted on the official Whitney Houston’s Facebook page.

“Stemming from the ’80s and ’90s, she, without question, was the greatest vocalist in the world. I want history to know that…There was no one like her…There’s got to be an appreciation for her work.” Davis told Hoda Kotb of Today show during the interview.

“This is her legacy. This is a clarion call to the world that she was, in her time, the greatest singer.” The 82-year old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame added. Clive also told Kotb that the family of Whitney Houston helped him in making the album possible.
