Chrysler 300BBC News reported that more than 26,000 vehicles of US carmaker, Chrysler, will be recalled due to a power steering problem. The malfunction in the power steering hose may cause fire, because fluid may leak to the car’s hot engine.

The Chrysler recall will include the following models:

  • 2010 Chrysler 300
  • 2010 Sebring
  • Dodge Avenger
  • Challenger
  • Journey
  • 2011 Dodge Ram pick-up

Chrysler‘s recall submission to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) explained that they already informed the US safety regulators earlier this month, and that no related accidents has been reported to Chrysler as of this time.

Based on the recall procedure, Chrysler dealers will check and replace the problematic power steering pressure hose without cost to the car owner.
