The rumors that earlier said that Christina Aguilera was fired from The Voice is not true, with NBC now confirming that the singer will still be part of the show’s second season.

As noted at entertainment news sites on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, Christina Aguilera was not fired from NBC’s ‘The Voice’ and show producers are not looking for a replacement.

“There is absolutely no truth to the rumor,” NBC Alternative Programming Executive Vice President Paul Telegdy was quoted at People.com, with Aguilera‘s rep also denying earlier rumors.

Apparently, the rumors said that the 30-year old singer is not anymore spending time with her contestants like she’s supposed to and spends most of her time on set with her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, ‘The Voice Season 2‘ singing competition premiere will take place right after Super Bowl XLVI which will be on Sunday, February 5, 2012 and all previous coaches will remain on the show.

Besides Christina Aguilera, the other voice coaches include Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, with the season one reportedly averaged a 5.4 rating and 12 million viewers.
