Cheyenne Woods will join the US Women’s Open golf tournament at Carolina Trace Country Club after finishing the two-day qualifier in Sanford, North Carolina with 2-over-par 146 on Thursday, May 31, 2012, according to a published report at LPGA.com. The 21-year-old Cheyenne is the daughter of Earl Woods Jr., Tiger Woods’ half brother.
Reports say that Cheyenne played golf at Wake Forest University for four years. She reportedly won the 2011 ACC Championship when she was still in college.
Cheyenne will make her professional debut at the second major of the year at the Wegmans LPGA Championship on Jun 7-10 in Pittsford, NY. She played in the same event in 2009 as an amateur, but she reportedly missed the cut.
