Cherry Blossoms Festival 2011, Donations Collected for Japan

The Cherry Blossoms Festival 2011 is being celebrated annually by Washington, DC and the festivities this year will start tomorrow and will end April 10. As reported by International news sites, March 25, 2011, the donations during the festival will be given to Japan.

Japan is known for its lovely cherry blossom trees that flower during the months of March to April. The cherry blossoms flowering now in Washington were a gift from Japan in 1912.

Several generous and kind-hearted individuals initiated the collection of donations for Japan’s cause.

Japan demonstrated organization and courage in the face of the havoc that the three disasters had caused. The earthquake, tsunami and nuclear contamination that had struck Japan has not dampened the enterprising spirit that the Japanese possess..
