Charice to sing Philippine National Anthem ‘Lupang Hinirang’ at Manny Pacquiao-Sugar Shane Mosley fight

Manila, PhilippinesCharice Pempengco is set to sing the Philippine National Anthem ‘Lupang Hinirang’ on the upcoming Manny Pacquiao-Sugar Shane Mosley fight.

As reported at ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, Charice will be the one to sing the Philippine National Anthem Pacquiao-Mosley fight on May 7,2011 (May 8 in Manila).

Apparently, Charice was said to the personal choice of Manny Pacquiao to sing on his fight against Sugar Shane Mosley, which will be held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Pacquiao’s advisor, Michael Koncz, their group has already talked with the ‘Pyramid’ singer, who said she is excited to sing for much-anticipated boxing bout, while the Pacquiao Team noted they are happy that Charice accepted the offer.

Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao will be doing his traditional concert after the fight, and will perform in Las Vegas and in California, along with his MP Band with Madonna Decena as one of the members.

Pacquiao will also appear again on ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ in which the eight-division world boxing champion is expected to sing Dan Hill’s ‘Sometimes When We Touch’, as his DVD/CD single to be released on April 28.
