CCMA 2012: Critics’ Choice Movie Awards 2012 winners, ‘The Artist’, George Clooney win big (Complete List)

The names of the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards 2012 (CCMA 2012) winners were announced on Thursday, January 12, 2012, which was broadcast live via VH1 at 8 p.m. ET, with the complete list available below.

As featured at VH1 on Thursday night, the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards night was held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and was hosted by comedians Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel.

The film “The Artist” won the Best Picture award, beating “Drive“, “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close“, “Hugo“, “Midnight in Paris“, “Moneyball“, “The Descendants“, “The Help“, “The Tree of Life“, and “War Horse“.

On the other hand, George Clooney won the Best Actor award for his role in the movie “The Descendants“, and also presented the Joel Siegel Award to award-winning actor Sean Penn for his humanitarian work.

Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio and Olivia Harrison presented the Critics’ Choice Music+Film Award to film director Scorsese, whose works include the multi-awarded 2006 movie “The Departed“, where DiCaprio is among the lead stars.

Music legend Bob Dylan, who was the subject of ScorsesePBS documentary “No Direction Home“, also played for the 69-year old multi-awarded director, whose film “Hugo” was nominated for 11 categories at the CCMA 2012, same as the silent movie “The Artist“.
